Volunteer as a Mentor.
The AmeriCorps Seniors Mentoring Program is part of the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of the Community Service Society NY. Our AmeriCorps RSVP Mentoring Program seeks volunteers age 55+ to match with young people in greatest need of intervention. AmeriCorp RSVP Mentors will serve Virtually to two age group youth programs in Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island and Manhattan.
MentorCHIP volunteers provide virtual online academic and social support to youth 6-16 having an incarcerated parent. MentorUP volunteers empower young people ages 15-26 with justice system referral, by matching them with a mentor/ tutor to aid them to attain the HSE (High School Equivalency) or Technical school certificate, and job readiness prep.
Spend a few hours a month as an AmeriCorps RSVP mentor. Share your lifetime of experience with our virtual mentor program gives you the opportunity to make a difference in a youth's life and yours.
