Were we loud? Yes.

Did the grannies get a little competitive? Also yes.

Did this incredible group of women come together to make a serious difference for local children and families? Absolutely!

Granny Gone Wild Bunco Night profited nearly $5,700 for Consider the Lilies!

That money will help us stock our Foster Closet, prepare our visitation room and continue building a Family Resource Center where foster families and biological families can find practical help, encouragement and someone willing to walk alongside them.

What looked like a room full of costumes, laughter, cheering and flying dice was also a community saying:
“You do not have to navigate this alone.”

To every guest, sponsor, donor, raffle-ticket buyer and volunteer who made this possible—thank you. You helped turn one wonderfully wild night into meaningful support for families in our community.

Brandi Preston was QUICK!! And, we owe her thanks a million for donating her time, energy, and talent to come shoot at our event!!

She captured all the vendors talent and our donors' products, so well.

She also got pictures of nearly 100 grannies-- most of them all smiling ear to ear. [You can bet those pictures will be shared shortly!!]

The grannies are ready. The prizes are ready. Dinner is planned. The raffle baskets are packed. TOMORROW we finally get to see all 94 of you at Granny Gone Wild! 😂🎲

Before the fun begins, we have to give a HUGE thank you to the incredible businesses and individuals who sponsored our tables and sections!

Every section you’ll sit in, every table you’ll roll dice at, and so many of the little details that make this fundraiser possible are there because someone in our community chose to support Consider the Lilies. 🤍

📣 LOCAL AGENCIES & ORGANIZATIONS — WE WANT TO KNOW YOU!

As we prepare to open the doors of Consider the Lilies Family Resource Center, we’re working on something we believe will be incredibly important for the families who walk through our doors: a comprehensive local resource and referral network.

Because the truth is, we can't meet every need a family may have — but we want to know who can.

We are looking for nonprofits, agencies, churches, programs and organizations serving Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas that help with things like:

• Food, clothing & basic needs
• Housing & utility assistance
• Transportation
• Employment & education
• Medical & mental health services
• Addiction/recovery resources
• Domestic violence services
• Pregnancy & parenting resources
• Childcare & developmental services
• Foster, kinship & biological family support
• Legal assistance
• DHS/child welfare related services
• Tribal resources
• Beds, furniture & household needs
• And anything else that helps families become safe, stable and successful!

But we don't want to build a directory that simply says, “Here's a phone number. Give them a call.”

We want to build relationships.

We want to know who to call. We want applications and referral forms on hand when possible. We want to know what documentation a family needs and who qualifies for services.

If someone walks into CTL needing help that another organization provides, we want to be able to sit beside them, make the call, help complete the application, fax or email paperwork, or help schedule the appointment.

Our goal is simple:

We want families to leave our building one step closer to resolution than when they walked in.

So, we need your help!

👉 Community members — tag the organizations you know! Big organizations, tiny nonprofits, church ministries, local programs...we want to hear about all of them.

There are already so many incredible resources in our communities. We don't need to reinvent them — we need to know each other, work together and make them easier for families to access. 🤍

🌿 OUR IMMEDIATE NEEDS 🌿

We are getting close to having the Consider the Lilies Resource Center ready to serve families, and because of this, our needs list looks a little different than normal!

Right now, a lot of our needs are centered around finishing and furnishing the Resource Center, lobby, foster closet, and family visitation room.

🏠 RESOURCE CENTER + LOBBY
• Lobby furniture
• Area rugs
• Lamps & décor
• Storage + organization pieces
• Hangers
• Laundry detergent

🤍 FAMILY VISITATION ROOM
Our goal is for this space to feel comfortable and home-like — not like an office or agency visitation room.

We still need:
• Furniture + comfortable seating
• Area rug
• Lamps + décor
• Toy storage
• Books
• Toys for babies through older children
• Puzzles + games
• Pretend-play toys
• Arts & crafts supplies

🍽️ KITCHENETTE
We need just about everything to stock it — dishes, kid cups, silverware, utensils, dish towels, cleaning supplies and all the little things that make a kitchenette functional.

🔨 WE ALSO HAVE SOME BIG NEEDS.

We are accepting monetary donations toward some of the larger expenses required to finish the center:

• Washer + dryer
• Flooring
• Light fixtures
• Trim
• Pipe + hardware for our clothing racks

You don't have to purchase a washer or pay for an entire room of flooring to help. $10, $25, $50 — it adds up when a community comes together.

A package of hangers. A pair of shoes. A bottle of detergent. A toy that a parent and child can play with during a visit. $25 toward our flooring.

It ALL helps us get one step closer to opening these doors!

We can't wait for this building to be more than a building. We want it to be a place where children and families walk in and know that their community is behind them. 🤍
