Freedom Farm will be an 7 home campus, having the capacity for 42 boys and girls.

Freedom Farm is a sanctuary for foster children, offering them a nurturing environment with loving parents to guide their emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual growth. Freedom Farm resides on 60 acres of land in a beautiful rural setting in Coker, AL, and houses children without a home in hopes to give them “freedom to soar” and succeed in life. The campus will have Freedom Chapel, an office/activities center and a barn surrounded by gardens woodlands, pastures and fields.

👀 Guess who is new to Freedom Farm?! 🐔

We’ve added 9 chickens to the farm.
These sweet additions aren’t just for fresh eggs (though we’re definitely looking forward to that too 🥚), they’re part of something much bigger.

Our farm is a place of healing, learning, and connection for children and families involved in foster care. By adding chickens, we’re creating new opportunities for the kids to:
✨ Learn responsibility and life skills
✨ Experience the joy of caring for animals
✨ Spend peaceful, hands-on time outdoors
✨ Build confidence and connection

There’s something truly special about the calm and purpose that comes from farm life—and we can’t wait to see the impact this will have on the children we serve.

It truly takes a village—and when that village comes together, the impact is powerful beyond words. 💛

Thank you to the youth group at St. Mark Church for your hard-work placing stones around “The Oaks” which created a beautiful border and landscape for this serene area. The next steps for The Oaks is to add seating so that families can enjoy some relaxation.

Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, give back, and believe in something bigger than themselves. This is what community looks like. 🌿

On April 12th, Freedom Farm received a triple blessing from Coker Church, Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa, and the UA Circle K Club, who completed various projects around the farm.

Coker Church graciously provided a thorough cleaning of the Chapel, laid mulch around one of the homes, and cleaned out the garage. Following their hard work, they generously served lunch to Freedom Farm families, a truly appreciated blessing.

Kiwanis Club of Tuscaloosa and UA Circle K Club started building a fence around the fruit garden that they began weeks before. The fence has since been completed and looks amazing!

We feel so incredibly thankful for these groups and their willingness to see a need and be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Freedom Farm wants to give a big shout out to Brad Nichols for building and installing this beautiful swing in the wooded area behind the Chapel. It has been such a blessing to us to be able to enjoy this new seating area and gaze upon what God has done here at Freedom Farm. Thanks again for this thoughtful gift!

Something special happens when kids and horses meet. Horses have a unique therapeutic way of bringing calm, trust, and confidence to children. We feel so blessed here at Freedom Farm to be able to foster this amazing connection.
