Great Tails Animal Rescue is now open Wednesdays from 3–6 p.m., with an extra focus on adoptions and helping animals find their people.

Public Hours:
🐾 Tuesdays: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
🐾 Wednesdays: 3–6 p.m.
🐾 Saturdays: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

Stop by to learn more, drop off donations, connect with our animals or submit an application.

Please note: Our public hours are staffed by volunteers and may occasionally be subject to change.

Peony is Danny’s sweet sister that was born without a back leg and tail. We didn’t post her because her foster found her the perfect home that can deal with her special needs. Peony is another beautiful happy resilient little girl. Have a great life little one. 🐾🩷

Started from the streets and now is wearing custom made bandanas 🌟 Zeke we are so thrilled to have been part of your story. Zeke came in a skinny unaltered anxious pup and left his loving foster family as a fully vetted, neutered, well fed and with some professional training under his belt. We are so happy for you and your new momma, Zeke! 🐾♥️🐾

Harvest season is almost here! 🌿

Our catnip garden is getting close to harvest, and soon we’ll be packaging it up to sell as a fundraiser for the animals in our care.

Meet the Board: Shannon Anttila, Founder & Board Member🐾

For Shannon, animal rescue is a family tradition. Inspired by her late mother’s volunteer and foster work, Shannon carried that love forward through years of volunteering and fostering with local shelters.

That experience helped inspire her to found Great Tails with a vision of creating a lasting resource for animals and the people who love them. She believes animal advocacy is just as much about supporting pet owners as it is caring for the animals themselves.

When she’s not busy with Great Tails, Shannon enjoys fishing, traveling with her husband and two sons, and spending time with their three dogs and four cats. ❤️
