Happy Match Day! I had some questions from Rotarians about Match Day and I decided to answer them here. Considering Rotary has decided to donate to match day -this information is pertinent:

1. All money received from donors today will be immediately available (after we count it) for the charities to use. The matching money donated by CACF, David and Lynn Bumgarner Family Trust, Bernard and Effie Joe Wade Family Foundation, Pratt Family Charitable Fund and the Patterson Family Foundation will be the money that is endowed. So, hypothetically, if the salvation army receives $5,000 today from donors, that money will be immediately available. That $5000 will also be matched with a percentage of the matching funds, those matching funds will be endowed.

2. If you donate to the FKHS Charlesworth Swimming Pool Fund. That money will be taken as a pledge depending on how the school board votes in December. If the school board decides to close the pool then the foundation will reach out to everyone that has donated to this cause. The foundation will give donors the option to put the money towards lifeguard training and swim lessons and/or putting it towards another fund and/or returning the money.

All the funds included in Match Day could use all the support they can get. If you have questions today before you donate please give me a call or send me a text. I happy to give more information on any of the funds...including the Natatorium.

Hope to see you today at the Chamber!!

Thank you,
Scott Tatman
