!!! A New Chapter for LORE !!!
Hello from LORE: Legends, Origins, & Realms Education!
We have a big announcement, and we wanted to share it with you as soon as possible.
For the past two years, LORE has been building toward an ambitious vision: creating opportunities to reenact, recreate, and celebrate predominantly European medieval history, society, cultural traditions, and the folklore that grew from them. Our motto has always been:
“Reigniting the Wonder: Legends Remember, Magic Reborn.”
While LORE is based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, our vision has never been limited to one event—or even one location.
So, while we have some bittersweet news to share, we also have something exciting:
LORE is pivoting!
After much discussion and reevaluation, the LORE board and leadership team have made the difficult decision that the 2027 Echoes of Lore event will not be moving forward as originally planned.
We know many of you were looking forward to joining us, and we are genuinely honored by your support. we are also saddened that we will not be able to welcome you to Echoes of Lore in 2027. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who contributed financially, volunteered their time, promoted the event, offered ideas, or simply believed in what we were working to create.
But here’s the important part:
The vision behind LORE isn’t disappearing. We’re taking it on the road.
The original concept for Echoes of Lore was built around several unique “realms,” each exploring a different historical, legendary, or folkloric theme. These included Fae both Light and Dark, Robin Hood and Arthurian Legend, Vikings and Pirates, and an 1890s Circus, with the intention that different realms could rotate and evolve from year to year.
That concept still has a lot of life in it.
Rather than putting all of our energy into creating one large standalone event, LORE is shifting its focus toward collaboration, partnership, and bringing those realms to audiences through events that are already happening throughout the Pacific and Inland Northwest.
That means LORE can become something bigger than a single annual event. (although we do still intend to offer that in the future as well.)
We are excited to work alongside other renaissance faires, historical reenactment organizations, guilds, and nonprofit groups—bringing our realms, educational programming, performers, volunteers, and creative energy to their events while supporting the missions they have already worked so hard to build.
Different realms. Different events. Different communities. One shared love of history, folklore, and wonder.
Our goal is to create collaborative opportunities that strengthen other existing events, support volunteers and nonprofit organizations, encourage historical education, and give people more opportunities to experience the stories and traditions that continue to inspire us.
The road may have changed, but we’re not stepping off it.
We’re just taking a different road—and we’re excited to see where it leads.
LORE is already reaching out to organizations throughout the region to explore ways we can collaborate and bring our mission to new communities. We look forward to sharing those partnerships and upcoming opportunities with you as they develop.
Thank you for believing in LORE, for supporting us through the last two years, and for helping us get this far.
“Echoes of Lore” the event may not be happening in 2027—but LORE is still very much alive.
Keep watching for announcements about where you can find us next.
The realms are waiting.
The stories continue.
And the adventure goes on.
