Local 710 members as well as Local 2856 and Local I-92 and PFFI VP Matt Smith from Local 804, are currently attending the IAFF 7th District New Members Conference!

This conference is a great introduction into what goes on behind the scenes of the IAFF and all the local unions to make sure we all can make a fair wage and have safe working conditions🚒🧑‍🚒

Happy Mother’s Day to the real hero’s! Thank you isn’t enough.

“While our firefighters answer calls, these women are working, caring for kids, creating stability, and managing the unique challenges that come with first responder life.

They know about apparatus, promotional tests, and callbacks. They can tell you the difference between an engine and the truck and that being a driver is a lot more than just knowing how to parallel park. They know about Kelly days, shift trades, modified duty and overtime.

They understand the bad days, hard calls, sleepless nights, missed holidays, and cancelled plans. They celebrate the good days, the welcoming parties, the special calls, and the impressive mustaches. This job becomes apart of their lives too.
