Today is World Migratory Bird Day.

This year’s theme, “Every Bird Counts — Your Observations Matter,” highlights the important role community science plays in understanding and protecting migratory birds. Everyday observations can help researchers track where birds are found, when they migrate, and how populations are changing.

Whether you’re birding on a local trail, participating in a survey, or simply noticing what visits your backyard, those observations can contribute to the bigger picture.
