Coeur d' Alene Carousel Foundation

501 c3 non-profit owns and runs the 1922 antique Coeur d'Alene Carousel. The original carousel from Coeur d'Alene's Playland Pier (1942 - 1974). on loan.

Cost to ride is $2.50 or (10) for $20. A place of joy for children of all ages. The Coeur d'Alene Carousel is
home to the historic 1922 Playland Pier Carousel. The carousel is open weekends in May & September and 7 days a week June-August. 7 days a week starts first part of June, depending on staffing & school schedules. $2.50 to ride or (10) rides for $20. The carousel opened in it's new home

in Memorial Plaza on June 9, 2017. Opening day boasted 1771 riders. The original carousel was located at Playland Pier amusement park which sat on the lake shore next to City Park. It was enjoyed by residents and visitors for over 30 years. In 1974 the amusement park was dismantled and the carousel was sold and disappeared for many years. The Perrons, carousel collectors, from Hood River Oregon discovered and purchased it at auction in 1986. It was fully restored and traveled about the U.S. It was purchased from the Perrons in 2011 by John & Pat Foote who gifted it to the newly formed non-profit Coeur d'Alene Carousel Foundation. The carousel will be closed Saturday and Sunday due to parking/traffic restrictions. We will be open all other days!

We are open today!!! 12-5 for labor day! Come on down to try your luck with the golden ring, ride the ponies, sign our guest book, and take home one of our several souvenirs!! 🥳🎠

Today is the day!! Free ride day/ national carousel day! Open 12-5‼️🎠

Our construction friends have the roads all blocked off in front of the Carousel. The best route into the Carousel parking lot is to take government way to Garden straight in to the parking lot off of Northwest Boulevard! 🫡🤗
