JUNK 2 FUNK IS BACK!!!!
ARTIST REGISTRATION DUE TODAY!!

Save the date!
Saturday, March, 9th
KIDS EVENT 12pm
ADULTS EVENT doors open at 5:00pm
Eagles Ball Room Sherman Ave.

KEA, Connect Kootenai and HREI have united to invite you to participate in this celebratory and historical creative eco-fashion show. We would like to showcase your creativity and pack the stage with a tapestry of Écologique Élégance!

Here’s how it works: Start collecting trash and turn it into creative and fashionable creations. All outfits need to be made from at least 80% reused material that would otherwise be heading for the landfill or recycle bin. Rock it out on the runway to an enthusiastic crowd packed into the space above the Eagles Bar in downtown CDA.

All this fun is for a good cause too! It brings awareness to the importance of environmental protection and raises essential funding for Kootenai Environmental Alliance, Connect Kootenai and the Human Rights Education Institute.

Please join the funk fun and unleash your talents for what certainly will be the most over-the-top Junk2Funk you have ever witnessed!

Please register online by Friday, February 2nd. There is a $25 registration fee to reserve your spot on the runway. Price includes artist event attendance.

Call KEA at (208) 667-9093 for questions.

Hey everyone, just wanted to share some important information about a recent Crime Town Hall in Kootenai County. For the first time ever, all of the leaders of Kootenai County’s entire justice system have come together to discuss crime and its impact on our community.

During the viewing of this town hall, you'll get answers to questions about various topics such as drug corridors, juvenile incarceration, overcrowding in jails, taxpayer liabilities, falling arrest rates, property taxes, and more. It's a great opportunity to learn about the efforts being made to address these issues.

The county leaders involved in this discussion include Sheriff Robert Norris, Prosecuting Attorney Stanly Mortenson, Juvenile Detention Director Eric Sheffield, Adult Misdemeanor Probation Director Keith Hutcheson, Juvenile Probation Director Bryan Alexander, Court Services Director Kally Young, County Clerk Jennifer Locke, and Commissioner Bruce E. Mattare.

This is an important information for anyone concerned about the Safety and well-being of our community, so be sure to tune in!
