Healing Happens Around the Table. 💚

Each night in our residential homes, our kids come together for a family-style dinner. They have the opportunity to sit around the dinner table, share a meal, engage in conversation, laugh together, talk about their day, and experience the simple comfort of being part of something.

For children who have experienced abuse, neglect, crisis, or instability, these everyday moments can carry incredible meaning. A consistent seat at the table. A warm meal they can count on. Caring adults who listen. A space where they are included and valued. Family-style dinners help create routine, connection, trust, and a sense of belonging—all important pieces of the healing environment we work to provide at Canopy Village.

Our Back-to-School Event is Saturday, August 29, and we’re still working to make sure local kids have the supplies they need to start the school year feeling prepared and confident!

Nourishing Kids. Building Stability. 💚

For the children living in our residential homes, food is more than a meal—it’s part of creating a safe, consistent, and nurturing environment.

Every day, the kids in our care receive three nutritious meals, along with access to the snacks and foods they need throughout the day. Having dependable access to food is one of the many ways we help create stability and ensure their basic needs are met while they are in our care.

We’re incredibly grateful for community partners like Pilgrim’s Market and local farmers, who help provide many of the staple foods and meats used in our residential homes. Their generosity helps us keep our kitchens stocked and nutritious food on the table.

Every child deserves to know where their next meal is coming from. 💚

Through our Family Support Center Food Pantry, families in our community can access food and essential items throughout the year when they need a little extra support.

During the summer months, our Free Friday Meals program provides another layer of support, helping ensure children and families have access to meals when school-based resources may not be available.

Whether it’s groceries to help a family get through the week or a meal during the summer, these programs are about more than food—they’re about reminding families that they have a village standing beside them.
