Absaroka Fence Initiative aims to ensure fences are functional for livestock management and wildlife movement across the landscape through on the ground projects, public workdays and outreach.

This past Saturday, the Absaroka Fence Initiative and the Bureau of Land Management partnered with volunteers to modify 1.8 miles of fence in the Carter Mountain pronghorn migration area to be more wildlife friendly. We appreciate everyone that joined us for another successful National Public Lands Day event!

40 PARTICIPANTS - we have the greatest volunteers! AFI volunteers, alongside staff from BLM, USFS, WGFD, NRCS, TNC, GYC and myriad other organizations, modified .8 miles of fence on the Absaroka Front yesterday. This project adds to a total 3.5 miles of this fence line modified for Carter Mountain Pronghorn migration.
