Pardners Cafe

Pardners Cafe Pardners Cafe is a volunteer-run enterprise, providing vocational training and experience for adults with disabilities.

These "Pardners" work side by side with volunteer mentors in the kitchen, at the counter, and in the dining room. Cody Pardners was formed as a grassroots group of parents and supporters with an interest in the quality of life for adults with disabilities. Our group firmly believes in the value of work and that everyone has something to offer society. So, we set out to create those opportunities.

We created a nonprofit (501c3) organization and began working on vocational projects in the fall of 2021 involving small food and handcraft sales. We quickly found we needed more space and made a presentation to the Park County Commissioners for the rental of the open library café space. The commissioners fully endorsed our mission and offered a discounted rent for the space. Pardners Café opened February 1st, 2022. Pardners Cafe is a completely volunteer-run enterprise, providing vocational training and experience for adults with disabilities. These “Pardners” work side-by-side with volunteer mentors in the kitchen, at the counter and in the dining room. We aspire to provide tasty food and a fun atmosphere every day. Proceeds from cafe sales go toward providing enriching social experiences for our Pardners as well as toward the development of additional enterprises. Gwen wasn’t planning to move to Cody, but the community at the Pardners was a perfect fit for her family, and we are so glad she joined us! Her and her son Daniel are crucial members of the team, and the Café wouldn’t be the same without them. Congratulations Gwen!
