๐ŸŒŽ On World Environment Day, weโ€™re reminded of one of natureโ€™s most powerful lessons: even after the strongest storms, growth can begin again ๐ŸŒฟ .

Grief often arrives unexpectedly, changing the landscape of our lives in ways we never imagined. Like nature, healing takes time. New growth may not happen overnight, but through connection, understanding, and support, hope can gradually take root.

At Childrenโ€™s Bereavement Center, we create spaces where children, teens, and adults can come together, share their experiences, and find support along the way. Because no one should have to navigate grief alone.

Today is National Hug Your Cat Day. ๐Ÿพ
Sometimes the best therapy session looks a little like this.

Grief is hard work, and rest is part of the healing process. If that rest includes a cozy cat in your lap, a quiet moment of connection, or simply giving yourself permission to pause, we fully support it.
Our pets have a special way of offering comfort without words, reminding us that love, companionship, and presence can make even the heaviest days feel a little lighter.
Be gentle with yourself today. You deserve it. ๐Ÿ’›
(P.S. No cat? A dog, rabbit, stuffed animal, or any source of comfort counts too.)

This spring, the Childrenโ€™s Bereavement Center (CBC) had the privilege of partnering with undergraduate public health students from Nova Southeastern University on their capstone project, Bereavement Leave in the Workplace: Policy Limitations and Opportunities for Improvement. Their research explored an important issue that affects individuals, families, and workplaces alike, helping to shed light on opportunities for meaningful change.

Congratulations to Connor, Lindsey, Sreenitya, and Aleena on their outstanding work and dedication to this impactful project!

Grief can affect every part of our lives โ€” emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually. Loss can increase feelings of anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, and isolation, making everyday life feel overwhelming at times.

But support matters.
Connection matters.
Community matters. ๐Ÿ’™

This Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind our community that seeking help is not a sign of weakness โ€” it is a courageous act of strength, healing, and self-compassion.

You do not have to navigate grief alone. Join one of our grief support groups and connect with others who understand. Grief is meant to be shared, and healing becomes possible when we support one another through the journey.

Memorial Day can also be a tender reminder of the people we carry in our hearts and deeply miss. As we pause to reflect, may we lead with gratitude, compassion, and remembrance for all those whose lives left a lasting impact.
