Two boys and two girls in foster care will now have their own spaces set up at home. With the guidance of their clinicians, they’ll learn how to use these materials to support their emotional well-being.

💜 Calming Corners provide a safe and soothing space for children in foster care to regulate their emotions, reduce anxiety, and build healthy coping skills.

❤️ Many of these children have experienced trauma, and having a dedicated space filled with comforting tools like a bean bag chair, weighted blankets, sensory items, etc. help them feel secure and in control.

🩷 These spaces promote self-regulation and empower kids to navigate their feelings in a healthy way. By providing Calming Corners, we are giving them more than just a quiet space…we’re giving them a sense of stability, comfort, and tools to heal.

Two more Calming Corners are getting delivered today. One will be going to an eight-year-old boy and the other two a 10-year-old boy. Both are in foster care and in need of some calming support.

Today begins our Sponsor a Smile fundraiser and we're grateful that you're here in this group to join us. For the next 2 weeks we're raising funds to build as many personalized Calming Corners as we can!

We give these Calming Corners to children in foster care that are needing some help with calming emotions, self regulation and comfort. Either a therapist or a clinician from one of the agencies requests a Calming Corner for a kiddo they work with that is in need.
