On Saturday, October 10, 2026, The Brevard County (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, in partnership with The Links Foundation, Incorporated, hosted “Soul & Sequins: A Night of Motown Splendor,” an extraordinary fundraising celebration that seamlessly blended the timeless sounds of Motown, dazzling fashion, and a steadfast commitment to community service.

The Hilton Rialto Ballroom was transformed into a captivating tribute to the golden era of Motown, where nostalgic décor, sophisticated ambiance, and the spirit of a legendary musical era set the stage for an unforgettable evening. Guests were immersed in an atmosphere of glamour, celebration, and purpose, where every detail reflected the elegance and energy of the occasion.

The evening came alive with an electrifying Michael Jackson tribute by Orlando MJ, dynamic live entertainment by the After 5 Band, an engaging silent auction, and an elegant gathering of community leaders, distinguished guests, valued partners, and friends.

Under the distinguished leadership of Chapter President Dedra Sibley, Esq., the chapter welcomed Southern Area Vice Director Dr. Kenyonn Demps, whose presence and inspiring message added a special touch to a memorable evening. Her remarks reinforced the enduring importance of service, friendship, and collective action in strengthening the communities we serve.

The Brevard County (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, extends its heartfelt gratitude to our generous sponsors, in-kind donors, supporters, and all who contributed to the success of this remarkable celebration. Your generosity, partnership, and unwavering commitment help make our mission possible and strengthen our ability to impact the communities in which we serve with transformational programs. With gratitude and appreciation, thank you for helping us make this extraordinary night a resounding success.

Some evenings are attended; others are truly experienced. “Soul & Sequins: A Night of Motown Splendor” was an evening to remember—a beautiful expression of elegance, excellence, sisterhood, and service that will continue to resonate long after the final note faded and the last dance ended.

31st Annual Walk For Healthy Living (WFHL)

A National Day of Service was held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Melbourne, Florida, in the beautiful Capron Ridge neighborhood.

The Walk For Healthy Living (WFHL) provided a meaningful opportunity for our sisters to connect, network, and demonstrate our collective commitment to heart health, wellness, and healthy living.

Despite the early morning start, the cooler-than-normal weather provided ideal conditions for an enjoyable and invigorating walk.

Together, our members completed approximately 45,500 steps, equivalent to approximately 2.75 miles, demonstrating our commitment to staying active and prioritizing cardiovascular health.

The accompanying photographs and videos capture the fellowship, enthusiasm, energy, and commitment demonstrated by our sisters throughout the walk. The videos also feature personal testimonies from participating members, sharing why they chose to participate and emphasizing the importance of making heart health and wellness a priority.

We are especially proud of our sisters for coming together in support of this important health initiative and for representing The Links, Incorporated with such enthusiasm, purpose, and commitment to service.

Myra Burris & Lauren Goff
Health & Human Services Co-Chairs
