Here are the Bag dogs - they are paralyzed in their hind end, though they get around quite well and enjoy life just as any other dog. The bags that they wear are all hand-made, and were created specifically for them by the founder of A.M.O.S. and her sister. We currently have five paralyzed Dachshunds - the breed is prone to a degenerative disk disease which causes the paralysis.

We want to take a moment and thank all of the wonderful people who have given homes to our rescue animals over the years! We'd also like to invite those thinking about pet adoption to consider our organization. I bet we can provide a match for you, your friends, your co-workers-- tell them all! They've got style, some have grace, and humor and are ready to be taken home. The ceaseless dedication of each employee at AMOS is a testament to the amazing animals that we provide for and that keep us company day in and day out.

We are happy to share that tonight Freeman was reunited and went home with his original owner! Freeman (or Sammy as he was originally known) will be greatly missed, but we are so excited that he’s back home with his family :)

Anyone out there able/willing to foster a diabetic dog? She's a sweet little pug mix. She doesn't really care for other dogs, but seems to be ok with cats. Spread the word!
