Street Road Project

Street Road Project STREET ROAD ARTISTS SPACE is an art space in a former real estate office, showing experimental art that investigates themes of property, ownership and place.

See our website for hours. Street Road is an experimental art space in Western Chester County, Pennsylvania. An outgrowth of the previous generation's real estate business, we sponsor exhibitions and projects that challenge received wisdoms of capitalism with regard to property, ownership, and social spaces. We're located on 5 acres at the crossroads of the Gap Newport Pike and Street Road (Routes

41 and 926), in Chester County, Pennsylvania, an area that lies amongst a mix of rural farmland, preserved rural lands, and spreading suburban development from the cities of Philadelphia, Lancaster, PA and Wilmington, Delaware.

Saturday, April 25, 2026

(note that the gallery is open from 11am)

Schedule of events:

Curatorial Talk with Hannah (.stellaloufarm) and Keith () @ 4:30pm

Book Launch - Becoming Together

This collaborative collection, rooted in December’s focus on Succession’s Fera Fortuna beer and taking its label as a starting point, explores preservation not just as a culinary practice, but as a way of sustaining culture, community, and ecological relationships. Through recipes, stories, and reflections, it highlights how traditions evolve and adapt across generations, geographies, and changing environments. Ultimately, it frames preservation as a shared, living practice rooted in care, connection, and collective memory.

Copies from this first edition of 50, published by Street Road Press, will be available for purchase at the launch and online.

BECOMING SUCCESSION, which opened at Street Road 8 months ago, is a project about a farm, a brewery, and a community connected through shared ecological principles.

We would love for you to join us to celebrate.

Exhibition open on Saturdays, 11a -3p and by appointment.

BECOMING SUCCESSION, which opened at Street Road 8 months ago, is a project about a farm, a brewery, and a community connected through shared ecological principles.

Starting from the label art for Succession Fermentory beers, visitors have co-created this exhibition, exploring nature and human relations through observation, reflection, and making in a series of participatory sessions.

The work has unfolded the way good fermentation does — slowly, unpredictably, with each month opening something new. Eight workshops, eight beer labels as doorways: plant communication and natural rhythms in September; wild yeast and sourdough in October; kvass from old bread in November; community recipes gathered through December; koji and mold magic in January; fermentation and feminism in March; herbalism and polyculture later that same month; and a final sit-spot meditation in April. Each session left its mark — written reflections, drawn observations, handmade things — accumulating in the gallery the way a landscape accumulates: layer by layer, contribution by contribution, until what began as an installation became something genuinely alive.

This is that exhibition, now in full. We would love for you to join us to celebrate.

Exhibition open on Saturdays, 11a -3p and by appointment.

Join us tomorrow morning for a Nature Meditation with Hannah LeVasseur, Saturday (April 11) from 10-11am EST.

As the last participatory contribution to the Becoming Succession show, we will look at the beer and label Printemps to inspire conversations about disrupting monoculture through remixing rituals and narratives. Join us in a closing nature meditation, introducing a sit spot practice of observation.

We will be outside for the entirety of the meditation, even if there is light rain. Please dress accordingly and bring any blankets or chairs that would make you comfortable sitting outside.

Participants will be encouraged to leave behind written or drawn reflections at the end of the experience to add to the visual exhibition inside the gallery. Becoming Succession can fully become with the help of our community.

Nature Meditation is free and no reservations required.

Also, please come to our closing reception, 4/25 (3-6p). Spontaneous pear cider tasting and curatorial talk with Hannah (.stellaloufarm) and Keith ( ).

Celebrate Spring with us tomorrow morning at our next workshop for the Becoming Succession project at Street Road!

Saturday, March 21, 2026   |   10:00-11:00am EST
with Hannah LeVasseur (.stellaloufarm).

In March, explore the ways in which the beer Millefleur and its imagery speak to the disruption of monoculture through embracing diversity and polycultures. The interconnections between different species in an ecosystem will be explored through a hands-on herbalism workshop. Hannah will guide this experience, with Millefleur Ale label artwork by Caroline Hu () her growing knowledge of plants and folk herbalism.  She completed a nine month certification class with Nettlejuice Herbals in 2024 and has continued learning through play with living plants and healing within the home.

Together we will look at and play with the ways that the characteristics of herbal plants, as well as their habitat and gifts to the human body can teach us about ourselves and the world we inhabit. Leave the gallery with a tea blend of your own creation and a new perspective on a weedy field.

You are invited to bring your favorite mug, something to take notes with, and your beautiful self.

Exhibition open on Saturdays, 11a -3p and by appointment.

“In fermenting feminism, we bring together artists whose work responds to what it means to bring fermentation and feminism into the same critical space. These are works that approach fermentation through intersectional and trans-inclusive feminist frameworks, and works that approach feminisms through the metaphor and material practice of fermentation. As both a metaphor and a physical process, fermentation embodies bioavailability and accessibility, preservation and transformation, inter-species symbiosis and coevolution, biodiversity and futurity, harm reduction and care.” - Lauren Fournier, Curator and Editor

This month, we are gathering for a discussion around the feminist experience of fermentation with members from Philadelphia’s chapter of the Pink Boots Society (), which “aims to assist, inspire and encourage women and non-binary individuals in the fermented/alcoholic beverage industry to advance their careers through education.” Meredith Megan Rebar of the Pink Boots Society and owner of Home Brewed Events, will facilitate a conversation of select readings from Fermenting Feminism.
