Formed in honor of BCHS 2004 graduate, Landon Padgett, Landon Padgett Memorial Fund aims to celebrate Landon's fearless passion for life, to continue his legacy of service and goodwill and to advance the next generation of courageous risk-takers, dreamers, healers, artists and leaders.

Over the past seven years, LPMF has awarded a total of 41 scholarships to BHCS graduates -- totaling $79,000 to college-bound seniors from Bleckley County High School. These scholarships have helped students take the next step toward their futures across 16 schools in four states!

This year, Landon Padgett Memorial Fund is awarding five $2,000 scholarships, and one special scholarship worth $2,500 called The Landon Padgett Memorial Fund Van Buren Award -- in recognition of Eddie Van Buren a 1961 graduate of Bleckley County High School, who has contributed a significant amount to our scholarship program.

Congratulations to all scholarship recipients of 2026. We're immensely proud of you.

We are now accepting applications for the 2026 Landon Padgett Memorial Fund Scholarship Program! 🌟

Over the past seven years, the Landon Padgett Memorial Fund Scholarship Program has awarded a total of 41 scholarships totaling $79,000 to college-bound seniors from Bleckley County High School. Scholarships have helped students take the next step toward their futures across 16 schools in four states!

This year, we're awarding six scholarships of $2,000 each to graduating seniors from Bleckley County High School. If interested in applying, please submit your application to Angie Knighton no later than Friday, April 3rd. 🎓
