Giant Step had one last hurrah last night celebrating Christmas one last time. For those of you who may not know, when we aren't doing the annual Christmas Tree lighting in Cobb we do outreach for local youth and young adults. Feel free to contact me if you would like to know more about what we do. We love our community.

Hey everyone only 8 more days until our 3rd annual Cobb Mountain Christmas tree lightning. Please join us on Friday December 12th at Little Red School House for hot chocolate, Christmas Carol's and the lightning of the tree. There will be ornament making for the kids, and a special guest opera singer, and a dedication commemorating the resilience of Cobb Mountain in the 10th year since the Valley Fire.

Cobb Mountain Christmas trees who are partnering with Giant Step Programs to put on this event.

Richie Bucher for donating this year's tree

Dennis Purcell and Bill Barrows for coordinating the music

Wendy Collins for coordinating the making of the tree decorations with the kids.

🎄✨ Cobb Mountain Christmas Tree Lighting — Let’s Make It a Tradition! ✨🎄

Cobb Mountain friends and neighbors — we’re dreaming up something truly special this holiday season, and we need YOUR help to make it happen! ❤️

We’re looking for a beautiful, tall in-ground pine tree and a permanent location here on Cobb Mountain to host our annual Christmas Tree Lighting every December — starting this year on Friday, December 12th (second Friday of December)!

We’d love to find a space that: 🌲 Has a large pine tree that could be decorated
💡 Has access to electricity and space for families to gather
🎶 Feels like the heart of Cobb Mountain!

We’re also looking for volunteers, local partners, and helpers to make the magic happen — from decorations and music to hot cocoa and holiday cheer! We’d especially love to get Cobb Mountain Elementary School and the Cobb Area Fire Department involved (maybe they can help us reach the top of that tree 😉).

Let’s come together as a community and start a beautiful new holiday tradition that grows every year.
