The peeps in the purple shirts make the Blackberry COBBler Festival happen! There's a common misconception that they're fueled entirely by blackberry cobbler. While we can't rule out a slice or two here and there, the truth is they're powered by something much stronger: a love of community.

These amazing volunteers donate their time, energy, and talents to help create one of Cobb Mountain's favorite annual traditions. They're the first ones setting up in the morning, the last ones cleaning up at the end of the day, and they're everywhere in between—helping vendors, answering questions, directing visitors, keeping things running smoothly, and making sure everyone has a great experience.

The Blackberry COBBler Festival isn't organized by a big event company. It's brought to life by neighbors helping neighbors, community members pitching in, and volunteers who believe that bringing people together is worth the effort. Their reward isn't a paycheck; it's seeing families having fun, local businesses thriving, and visitors discovering everything that makes Cobb Mountain such a special place.

So when you see someone in a purple shirt on August 29th at our 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026, give them a smile, a wave, or a heartfelt thank you. They are the heart and soul of the festival, and without them, there would be no Blackberry COBBler Festival.

It takes a village to put on a festival, and our village is pretty amazing. 💜🫐🥧

Blackberries are a superfood. Packed with nutrients. Antioxidants. All the good stuff. Facts!💪🫐

Now… does adding sugar, flour, and a generous amount of butter in the form of blackberry cobbler, slightly… alter those health benefits?

We’re gonna go ahead and say no.
(Please do not fact-check us. 😄)

So we’re all in agreement:
Blackberry cobbler = superfood.

Great. Glad we settled that.

And since you’re now clearly focused on your health, it’s only logical that you start preparing for our 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026—a mere two months away.

Specifically… the Blackberry Cobbler Contest.

Time to start researching, experimenting, taste-testing (very important), and perfecting that recipe that will absolutely, without question, crush the competition. 🫐🥧

Because around here, we take our “superfoods” very seriously.
And, our Blackberry Cobbler Contest, even more seriously!

🫐 It's been a minute since we posted...

Some of you may have been wondering:

"Did they forget about us?"

"Did they run away to a blackberry patch and never return?"

"Have they been trapped beneath a giant COBBler?"

The answer is no. 😂

Have no fear, folks. We're still here.

We've simply had our noses to the grindstone, our coffee cups perpetually empty, and our to-do lists multiplying like rabbits as we work behind the scenes on all the details that make our 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026 such a fantastic event.

Because, contrary to popular belief, festivals do not magically appear.

There is no Festival Fairy.

No COBBler Wizard.

No secret committee of blackberry gnomes working through the night.

Unfortunately.

It's a lot of emails.

A lot of phone calls.

A lot of spreadsheets.

A lot of measuring things.

A lot of re-measuring things.

And occasionally staring at a computer screen, wondering why something that should take five minutes has now taken an hour and a half. 😆

Our vendors are lined up.

Confirming entertainment.

Coordinating logistics.

Making maps.

Answering questions.

Creating forms.

And generally doing all the glamorous festival-planning activities that nobody ever sees.

It's a little like being a duck.

Everything looks calm and effortless on the surface...

Meanwhile, underneath, our little feet are paddling like crazy. 😂

The good news?

It's all coming together.

And before you know it, we'll all be gathered in beautiful Cobb enjoying blackberry treats, great music, vendors, community spirit, and enough blackberry goodness to make you wonder why all fruits don't get their own festival.

(Actually, let's not give us any ideas. We're busy enough already.)

So if we've been a little quiet, it's only because we're hard at work making sure this year's Blackberry COBBler Festival is the best one yet.

Stay tuned, folks.

Alright, let’s clear this up before anyone shows up with a fork and unrealistic expectations… 🥧

The 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026 is bringing you two very important cobbler situations:

👑 The COBBler Contest
This is where the magic happens. Entries will be judged, champions will be crowned, and bragging rights will be aggressively claimed.
HOWEVER… this cobbler is NOT for public consumption.
Yes, we know. It’s hard. Stay strong. Do not tackle the judges.

🥧 The Eating Cobbler (aka your moment)
The amazing Mountain Lions Club & Cobb Community Center will be on-site selling blackberry cobbler to the public—so you will get your fix without committing a cobbler-related crime.

So to recap:
Contest cobbler = admire from a respectful distance
Lions Club cobbler = absolutely demolish with enthusiasm
Come hungry, come curious, and come ready for a berry good time. 🍇

Yep, you know these guys — Adam, Jeff, Doug & Nick — local boys collectively known as Broken Trucks. And yes, they’re rolling back into town for our 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026 on Saturday, August 29th!

Serving up their signature mix of rock, country & blues, these guys know exactly how to keep a crowd hanging around a little longer than they planned. If you caught them at last year’s festival, then you already know… Broken Trucks doesn’t arrive quietly. 🍻🎶

😎 Small-community summer fun

So basically, Facebook asked what's on our mind, and the answer is:

Blackberries.

Blackberries in desserts.
Blackberries in jams.
Blackberries in drinks.
Blackberries in things that probably don't need blackberries but somehow would be improved by them.

It's getting a little out of hand over here.

Then again, that's what happens when you're counting down to our 6th Annual Blackberry COBBler Festival 2026.

And yes, we're still ridiculously proud of the fact that it's COBBler because it's on Cobb Mountain.

We may never stop congratulating ourselves for that one. 😂🫐🥧
