"God first called me to prison ministry in 1996 through Prison Fellowship’s Angel Tree program. What began as a simple act of service grew into nearly 30 years of leading the prison ministry and Angel Tree at Shepherd Church in Porter Ranch, California.

In 2024, when I moved to Pennsylvania, I assumed that season had ended, but the Lord quickly showed me otherwise.

Through New Mornings, I now serve monthly in the chapel at Chester County Prison and am happy to support the ministry outside prison with hosting team meetings, delivering grace bags, and wherever I’m needed. I’m grateful to continue walking alongside those who have a heart for the incarcerated." - Antonette, | New Mornings Volunteer

At New Mornings, we strive to show the women at Chester County Prison that they are seen, valued, & deeply loved by God. Recently, we had the opportunity to bless one of the women with flowers & a card, a small gesture that made a meaningful impact.

While we know serving others is ultimately an offering to the Lord, moments of gratitude like these are a sweet reminder of how God is moving through simple acts of love & encouragement.

At New Mornings, we are making a difference one life at a time, walking alongside these women with compassion, hope, & the love of Christ.

This Memorial Day, we pause to honor & remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we reflect today, we also pray for the families carrying the weight of loss & for those searching for hope & healing.

At New Mornings, we are grateful for the opportunity to share hope & the love of Christ with those both inside prison & throughout our community.

One of the women who attends our Discovery Bible Study on Tuesday nights is preparing to be released, & with that comes a lot of uncertainty surrounding housing, next steps, & what life will look like on the outside.

Yet through it all, God continues to remind her that He is with her every step of the way. In different places & situations, she keeps encountering the same verse again & again: “Be still and know that I am God.” - Psalm 46:10

What a beautiful reminder that even in seasons of uncertainty, God’s presence remains constant & faithful.

I just had two 1:1 visits with women at Chester County Prison, & it’s always a blessing. Sitting with women who have walked through hard seasons & being able to offer encouragement is something I never take lightly. I get to remind them to never give up, their story isn’t over.

“Two are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. (Ecclesiastes 4:9)

In April, our prison ministry team gathered for a night of fellowship, food, & powerful stories of how God is moving inside Chester County Prison.

Again & again, our volunteers shared how this ministry is not only impacting the women they serve, but changing their own lives, leaving each visit feeling fulfilled.

We're grateful for these incredible women who serve with faith, love, & humility.

We’re incredibly grateful to those who stepped in to support a family that was unintentionally missed from our Hope Wrapped outreach which takes place during the Christmas season.

In less than a week, over $500 was raised to bless them! The family received Bibles & gifts, as well as gift cards so the children could pick out their own bikes.

This act of generosity is more than gift, it's hope, love, & a reminder that they are seen. Please continue to pray for this family as they are navigating significant challenges. Thank you for showing up & sharing Jesus with them! We appreciate you.

Over Easter weekend, worship filled the chapel. The women were engaged, emotional, & lifting their voices in praise. One woman stood out to us, she was sitting in the front row, full of joy, hungry for the Word, & taking in every moment. We’ve seen her before &
we’ve seen her transformation.

Even the officers have noticed & commented about seeing a difference in the lives of those who attend Chapel.

This is why we show up, bringing hope, truth, & the love of Christ to women who need it most.

If you feel led to support the work of New Mornings, we're grateful for your generosity. Donate today. https://newmorningscares.org/donate
