Last evening, the Borough of Brookhaven held a Memorial Day Program to honor the memory of those residents killed in action during WWII, Korea and Vietnam. The Vietnam veteran featured in the display, was Andrew Brinzo, brother of Auxiliary member, Gayle Morris. Andrew served with the 9th Infantry Division, Riverine Force and was killed 5 days before his 21st birthday. He was drafted one week after his wedding. We can enjoy the benefits of this 3 day weekend due to the sacrifices of those who chose to serve. Please remember all of them throughout this Memorial Day weekend.
