Good afternoon, folks! We are reaching out for donations to help keep STEAM POWER's training - and Our Dot Art retail - space open for as long as we can. We have these cartridge plaques available for different donation denominations:

Gray GameBoy: $100
Gold GameBoy: $250
Gray NES: $500
Gold NES: $1000

As you can see, Doe Run Catering is a proud sponsor. It can be a business, or private sponsorship. Each cartridge will have a custom label created and will hand on the wall in the STEAM computer room. These donations are tax-deductible, and you'll be provided with a deduction form for the 2026 tax year.

The plan was to have Our Dot Art carry the financial burden for both organizations, but online sales have been slower than expected. We are working on our marketing campaign to drum up more online and in-store business. We also have Starlight Coatesville providing an incredible and unique party space unlike anything in the Coatesville and surrounding area!

We have just received approval to teach Scouts to earn badges in Chess, Robotics, Programming, AI, and Model Design & Building. We are also preparing to hold STEAM classes for these as well as Web Development outside of the Scout program. Your contributions will help to keep us operating in our space, as well as provide free course for those that need them.

What have we been up to?!

First, we had the honor of being asked to put together a model of a 1932 patent from local inventor William Chester Ruth. His granddaughter, Gwen Dickinson, stopped in the shop and asked if we could 3D print something. After thinking a few days, I remembered Lego had this old-timey truck, and we could try to retrofit a working cinder spreader to show how the original patent worked. Ms. Dickinson had no idea until we were almost done, and I don't know which of the two of us was more excited.

Please look through the pictures and watch the video of how it works; it's driven from the rear axle, and drives a conveyor in the truck bed, as well as the spreader. We had some space limitations, and still need to button up the back of the bed box with the sliding door for the cinder chute.

It's an understatement to describe this as an honor, and we look forward to doing more community projects like this!

SO WHAT'S NEXT?!?!

We have registered to be Scout Merit Badge Counselors, and will start hosting badge classes in the next few weeks for Robotics, Chess, Programming, and more! Stay tuned for details, or reach out if you have groups that are interested. You don't have to be Scouts, and we can take classes or homeschool groups.

We've been away from social media for a bit, but we're back - and what an awesome way to jump back in!

We have 10 switch plates to give away! We were testing some multi color printing, and these seemed fun. No screws, just use the ones you have. Message if you'd like one!

Never a dull moment at STEAM POWER! 😍

Bachelor parties, birthdays, hangouts, tournaments, and more! We'll have 8 retro consoles and a small library of games for each.

There are some STEM places that just talk the talk. At STEAM POWER, we literally walk the walk... Right across the custom bathroom threshold we designed, sliced, printed, and installed. We're putting together REAL 3D design and print courses, and will have them available soon!

Keep an eye out in the next day or two for our FREE Web Development 101 course we will have next Thursday. These kids will start building their own custom websites! 😍

Your donations of old games, consoles, and LEGO go a long way to support our mission. What we can't use, we sell, and that money goes directly to our programs. We're incredibly thankful for the donations we've received so far, and look forward to helping you clean out some of your clutter. 😁

If you have any old game consoles and/or games that do or don't work (we're pretty good at fixing consoles), we would love for you to donate them to STEAM POWER! We are also looking for any LEGO you might want to donate, especially Technic and Robotic sets that we can use as part of our curriculum. Parts that we can't use we will sell or gift, and use the money to fund our community endeavors.
