French Creek elementary PTA did a great job running this event! Glad the Chester County Litter Lifters were able to lend them 50 safety vests for the Owen J Roberts high school students who volunteered! The safety vests enabled the elementary school students to easily identify who was in charge of each station.

World environment Day. Join the litter lifters and PICK UP SOME LITTER! We have helped with a cleanup of THE SCHUYLKILL River three years ago, where we collected 7 tons; we did two cleanups of the French Creek in the Phoenixville area and collected 170 bags of LITTER; and most recently on April 4 24 volunteers from Chester County cleaned up behind the Marriott on route 82 in Coatesville and collected 2 tons of dumping that would’ve gone into the beautiful west branch of the Brandywine Creek! Help us keep our roads and waterways clean.

The Litter Lifters have picked up many Nitrous oxide tanks that were dumped along roads we have cleaned up. People are using these to get high- there are serious health affects. Thank you Senator Carolyn Comitta for proposing this bill.

Companies like Dow and non profits like Spearhead Project Earth are helping create a cleaner Delaware River and shoreline. Thank you! I volunteered one time with Spearhead Project Earth- we met in Bristol Pa and used a boat to get to a little island. It was there that we cleaned up the shoreline. Lots of plastic water bottles! Consider volunteering with them! It’s a blast and you see lots of wildlife.
