Even though the weather isn’t the best, so appreciative to all those making strides on the concession stand. Thank you Robbie, Dave, Mike, Steve and all the helpers who keep showing us progress for our future with the unspoken neigh. I absolutely adore the peacefulness of looking at how beautiful they are against the horizon and the gorgeous sunsets. Something amazing.

Thank you all for visiting the Unspoken Neigh Page. It is truly the Lakeland Center's honor to bring programming to help many more in need. The Unspoken Neigh is in its designing phases at this time and will assist many new clients to include At Risk Youth and our Veterans. Many exciting new things are coming down the pike as we work with many wonderful community people to get this program on the ground and running. The Lakeland Center's Board of Directors currently has the Unspoken Neigh in a 3 phase strategic plan and is excited to keep you posted on the progress as we go.

Hi I am Steve Perry. I grow up in Avon when it was the country. I joined the Army in 1986 and came off active duty in 1994 and joined the Indiana National Guard till 1998. I was out for a few years and went in the Army Reservers. In December of 2003 was pulled back on active duty till February 2008 and then retired in October 2009.

After all my time in the Army I seen the good and bad of people. So I am helping our Veterans get freedom from there battles. For some the war did not stop when they got home. Some have PTSD, TBI and others you can see there missing parts of there body. All of them gave for our freedom.

So here is what I say for this program : For the men and women who help us get and keep our freedom let’s help them get their freedom back.

I am wanting to help get this off the ground and helping Veterans. Most of the Saturdays for the next couple months I will be going out to start building items for the Veterans. I will be turning 3 silos in to usable building for the Veterans. One silo will be 3 bathroom, a gazebo and the last into a concession stand and if I can get the materials build a deck so all can move freely between all. If anyone wants to help please IM me.

Thanks you all for the support.

Love how clean the veterans and volunteers are making the farm for all our clients and Ras's "Ginny". Hoping for a gathering spot and campfire this fall for all of our programs to enjoy! Work days... Steve will post more but I do want to welcome Kingsway Christian Church group on September 15 from 2pm on. And September 7th have a private event for an appreciation of some pretty marvelous folks but could use help in the morning! Thank you to the marvelous angels helping on Saturday's....you fill my soul with happiness! My grandfather "Raz" who served in the Navy and helped me start this farm would be very proud and grateful to each and everyone of you. I know "Ginny" is too.
