It was a wonderful surprise down the museum today. JP McGeehan stopped in and had some great donations from his families barroom on High Street & a 1 gallon Cutter McGeehan’s Whiskey Jug with his wife’s name Anna Chester written on bottom. She was a Tamaqua native and probably why he built the mansion over Tamaqua. Also, an old Coca Cola bottle cap remover and go withs. The kicker is an old piece of advertising cardboard found in the basement rafters of bar before it was sold. So kool! How it was done back then. We have the 55 gallon wooden barrel marked Canadian Industrial Mineral Spirits addressed to the Coaldale State General Hospital. My belief it went in one door and came out another. Still smells like whiskey 🥃 also two McGeehan beer bottles. Thx JP
