AR VFW Auxialiary President Tommy Hughes and VFW post 8532, Commander Brooke Walkingwolf (also Dist 7, adjutant) at the Post Fish Fry on New Year's Day. Post 8532 located in Coal Hill is the physucally largest Post in AR at over 10,000 square feet. Serving all of Franklin and Johnson Co.

Tiday we are joined by our Nation, remembering and honoring all Veterans and active duty military I was not able to get a complete lisrt of actuvities, but all the local schiols are doing something. There will be several sbort speeches on the Johnson County Courthouse Steps in Clarksville at 11 am. Erica Armstrong will be giving her speech that took her to Washington DC and a Natiinal Scbolarship from the VFW. It has has been appreciated by Veterans every time it is given.
The speeches wiĺ be folloẁd by a free hotdog and chili dunnee for vets on the Couthouse lawn.

Youth Scholarships
We have the the theme early. All youth grade 6 and up can jump on this. Same topic, separate prizes and length. Same due date, Oct 31 but you will want to LOOK NOW if you want to win.

If you are a democracy-loving high school student interested in a $30,000 college scholarship or a patriotic middle school student interested in winning $5,000, these scholarships may be for you.

Arkansas Run for the Fallen. Friday morning March 21 starts at Ozark City Hall at 8 am. We hope some of you will turn out to honor our Fallen in the Desert missions and the men and women who pay tribute every year to the 155 Arkansans who gave their lives there. The link is to the schedule of who will be honored at what mile and time along the route.

Arkansas Run for the Fallen's mission is to honor Arkansans who have died on active duty
