Clyde Exchange Club

Clyde Exchange Club Clyde Exchange Club is a group of people dedicated to addressing the needs of the local community. More than 630 local clubs throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico.

Committed to serving their community, the members of the Clyde Exchange Club have volunteered their time and energies to inspire our community to become a better place to live. We sponsor fundraising events to raise money we then return to the community. Each year we honor a Student of the Year and provide a scholarship award. We also recognize local Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters with

yearly awards. We assist the Clyde Halloween committee with local Halloween activities and distribute American Flags to kids of all ages during Clyde's Country Fair Parade through our Give a Kid a Flag to Wave Program of Service. We support the Summer Reading Program, Clyde in Bloom, The Clyde Library, Clyde-Green Springs Music Boosters, Clyde FFA program and many more community organizations. Vision: A strong America, safe communities, and unified people. Mission: Exchange, inspiring communities to become better places to live. Core Values: Family, Community, Country

Motto: Unity for Service

The National Exchange Club is the only service organization exclusively serving communities in the United States. and Puerto Rico provide individuals with opportunities to use their time and talents to benefit their local communities and the country as a whole. Exchange’s Core Values are family, community, and country. Through the Programs of Service – Americanism, Community Service, and Youth Programs – members support activities that benefit youth, promote pride in our country, and honor military and public service providers, to name a few. Exchange’s National Project is the prevention of child abuse. Exchange was founded March 27, 1911, in Detroit, MI, by a group of business executives who wanted simply to exchange ideas. Those ideas grew and were shared, and have resulted in innumerable benefits to the nation. Currently, Exchange has more than 18,000 members in the U.S. The organization’s National Headquarters, located in Toledo, OH, acts as a resource to local-level clubs and its members.

We were happy to present The Liberty Center with 12 Exchange Cares bags today. Pictured here are Stephanie Kern, SWA, Intake Specialist for Liberty Center and Cindy Cullen of The Exchange Club of Clyde, Ohio.

We have been blessed to be able to provide these to The Liberty Center for the past 12 years. Each bag contains a stuffed animal, a blanket, and a book. They are presented to the children when they arrive at the center and are theirs to keep.

We would like to thank The Knifty Knitters of Clyde for supplying the beautiful, hand-crafted blankets and the Friends of Clyde Public Library for donating some books to us for this project.

Last night, several club members were able to visit one of the projects that we supported. The Clyde FFA installed a greenhouse behind McPherson Middle School to expand agricultural in the school district. Middle school ag instructor, Robert Selvey and some of his students led the club in a tour of the greenhouse and other project areas surrounding MMS, and shared their first hand experience and learnings.

We are super fortunate to have such a great facility and opportunity for our students!! It is very clear that this space is teaching so many of our middle schoolers some great lessons and providing opportunities for development in a new setting.

Thank you to Robert and his students for taking time to provide us with a tour!! Younall should be very proud of what you are creating!!

We ended our 2023-2024 program year with our Spring Banquet at the Copper Whale Winery. Our officers and board of directors for our 2024-2025 program year were installed by district treasurer, Don Price. The club enjoyed dinner and then enjoyed some fun competition with giant Jenga. Lots of laughs and fun were had by all!!

We will be taking the summer to plan for our 2024-2025 program year. If you are interested in learning more about the club or have ideas of how we can serve the community, please feel free to reach out!!
