Thanks to the Sandusky County Visitor's Bureau, Clyde's retailers have recently been blessed with tour busses visiting downtown Clyde. The bus tours have been stopping in Clyde to end their long day in Sandusky County with ice cream from Sandco Sweetie's. We have taken the opportunity to greet them, let them know a little about Clyde, it's history and invite them back for a personal visit.

The future plan is to host an exclusive Clyde tour. With Sandco Industries as the anchor, Clyde will have more patrons spending their day here to shop in our retail businesses, visit the museum, McPherson Cemetery, learn about our rich Clyde history, spend time in our restaurants and coffee shop.

The Blue Collar Bistro is located at 111 N. Main Street, Clyde, Ohio, on the corner of Main and Railroad Street. They feature the best pizza, flatbreads, mac bowls, and salads you've ever had.

Hardee's Restaurant at 1559 W. McPherson Hwy is open. Attached to the HD Travel Center Sunoco, Hardees features chicken sandwiches and beef burgers. Some say they have the best biscuits and gravy you can find.

Stop in at Hardee's for a meal, but don't leave without shopping at the Travel Center and topping off your gas tank.

Congratulations to Sweeties, owned and operated by Sandco Industries at 127 S. Main Street, Clyde, Ohio. This building was formerly Steve's News Stand and most recently Mary Beth Fiser's Attorney Office.

Renovations were completed late June and the grand opening was held on July 11, 2023.

Brittany Stiltner, CEO of Sandco Industries, indicated that they would be selling nostalgic old-style candies and ice cream.

The facility will be used as a retail and vocational training center providing work training opportunities along with customer service training.

Stop in and welcome Sweeties to downtown Clyde, and by all means patronize as often as you can.

If you've driven on Rt20 recently between Fremont and Clyde, you may have noticed a new business located on McPherson Hwy. JDM Outdoors has just opened a new location on the corner of CR224.

They are doing business in three states with Clyde being their 17th location and 4th in Ohio which include Sandusky, Port Clinton, and Mansfield.

JDM Outdoors has been in business since 1992. Owned by Daniel Miller out of Berlin, Ohio, they specialize in outdoor furniture, out buildings and play sets.
They decided on the Clyde location because of demographics, success in Sandusky and Erie Counties, and land acquisition.

Please stop out and welcome them to Clyde.
