The Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 11 am to 2 pm. Guest presenter will be Dr. Michael Kyles, an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist in South Boston, Virginia. He is affiliated with Sentara. He will be speaking on Balance and Mobility. Come join us at the TJM Community Center (1011 Cluster Springs School Road, South Boston, VA 24592) for helpful information, food, and games. All seniors are welcome

The Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 11 am to 2 pm. The Virginia Department of Health will sponsor a Healthy Hearts Event. Come join us at the TJM Community Center (1011 Cluster Springs School Road, South Boston, VA 24592) for a meal to feed your body, educate your mind, and empower your life! Sentara Community Care will be on site to offer wellness screenings, including BMI, blood pressure, and A1C checks.

A special thank you is extended to all that helped make our Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon a great success today. We thank all our guest speakers and all the volunteers and people that donated in any way. We especially thank Terry of South Boston for sponsoring the luncheon. The General Manager, Mark Smith gave some encouraging words and reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas.

All are welcome to attend the Senior Citizen Appreciation Luncheon on Thursday, December 19th from 11am to 2pm. Guest presenters will include Tyronza Coleman, President/CEO of Trusted Services. Also, on the program Wendy Crews and Denise Barksdale will talk about the Healthy Harvest Community Garden located in downtown Halifax. Seniors will learn how they can receive fresh produce, learn about upcoming nutrition classes and the intern program. Terry of South Boston will sponsor the luncheon. There will also be lots of fun and games (including an ugly holiday sweater contest).
