40-Day Prayer Challenge
Day 6 - Shameless Audacity
“… yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.” (Luke 11:8)

On Day 6 we are encouraged to pray big prayers and to prevail in prayer. Don’t be afraid to ask God for the things that are bigger than your ability to figure out how He will answer. He is a God of miracles and works in ways we cannot see! Batterson writes, “God doesn’t answer prayer just to give us what we want; God answers prayer to bring glory to His name.” Ask God to do what you cannot do.

“Why do we mistakenly think that God is offended by our prayers for the impossible? The truth is that God is offended by anything less! God is offended when we ask him to do things we can do ourselves. It’s the impossible prayers that honor God because they reveal our faith and allow God to reveal His glory.” (Batterson, p.43)

“The greatest tragedy in life is the prayers that go unanswered simply because they go unasked.” (Batterson, p.46)

DON’T GIVE UP!!!

Keep asking. keep seeking. Keep knocking. And, I might add, keep circling! (Batterson, p. 45)

Draw the Circle - it’s Day 1 of our exciting 40-Day Prayer Challenge!
“God is always preparing us and positioning us for divine appointments. And prayer is the way we discern the next move. The plans of God are only revealed in the presence of God. We don’t get our marching orders until we get on our knees.” (Batterson, p.15)

As we start our journey, let’s ask God to prepare and position us! Let’s pray in faith, believing that He hears our prayers and is excited that we are joining in unity, expecting great things!

As we take up the challenge, remember: He wants our hearts - not our perfection, not our performance, just our hearts!

We will each personally do our daily reading and end with Day 40 on July 15, 2022.
