Join us for one of California's longest-running and most anticipated four-wheel-drive events! With over 40 years of tradition, Moonlight Madness continues to bring together off-road enthusiasts for an unforgettable weekend of adventure, camaraderie, and spectacular mountain scenery.
Experience the magic of the Sierra National Forest as you navigate scenic trails by day and participate in the legendary Moonlight Madness Night Run under the stars. Visit crowd-favorite destinations including Hollywood Hill and Bald Mountain Lookout Tower (Elevation 7,862 ft.), where you'll enjoy breathtaking views overlooking the San Joaquin Valley.

Base Camp Information
Base Camp is large enough to accommodate RVs, trailers, and tent camping. Please note:
No water service available
No trash service available (Pack it in, Pack it out)
Port-A-Potties provided during the event
Excellent opportunities to relax, explore, and enjoy nearby fishing at Shaver Lake
Getting to Base Camp
Base Camp can be accessed by:
Option 1: Highway 168 via Tamarack Pass (Recommended route for larger trailers and Motorhomes)
Option 2: Rock Creek Road off Dinkey Creek Road (NOT recommended route for trailers or Motorhomes)

Registration Information
Participation is open to anyone who:
Possesses a valid driver's license
Operates a vehicle that is currently registered and insured for California roads, or
Has a valid California Green Sticker for OHV use
Registration is limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
