American Legion Riders chapters are well known for their charitable work, which has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local Veteran's hospitals, veterans homes, severely wounded servicemembers and scholarships.

Sept 11th, 2026: 25-year anniversary of the attacks across America. The sky was a perfect blue with light cloud cover. a gently breeze and not to hot if you were in the shade. AL post 147 Riders , Doc, Just John, Stitches, Dumpster, Muddog, Boom-Boom, and Axeman attended in force to show community support. Law enforcement, fire departments, and military branches attended to provide colors and honors to everyone remembered. Hundreds of people were gathered and were in good spirits as the bands played solemn pieces. There were a total of three flyovers all timed perfectly.

Sept. 8th 2026
Doc, Boom-Boom, Just-John, and Axeman attended in support owith Post 100 for flag line and Es**rt duty. Approx. 30 riders gathered and brought this hero to his resting place.

Monthly Chapter meeting this evening, 1800 hours (6:00 pm). American Legion Post 147, 508 Fourth St, Old Town Clovis (on the corner of Woodworth and 4th).

If you’re a Veteran and ride motorcycles, then come join us. Our meeting is in the basement of the Post. Gate will be open!! Come on by!!

ALR Chapter 147 is going riding this Saturday, June 20th. Have a motorcycle and want to join us??

Meet us at the American Legion Cecil Cox Post 147 (Woodworth & 4th St in Old Town Clovis) at 8 am. KSU @ 8:30 am. Destination is unknown. But, it’s bound to be fun!!

This past weekend we said “goodbye “ to our Riders Vice Director and Post Commander, Tim Lobretto. Tim left today, driving back to his native land of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

A few of us are going to ride out to his hometown to engage him in some shenanigans.

Meanwhile, April will be a busy month for our Chapter:
April 10 - Military Appreciation Night @ Chukchansi Park
April 11 & 12 - we’ll have a booth set up for Big Hat Days
April 22 thru April 26 - we’ll be working concessions and the b**r garden at the Clovis Rodeo
April 25 - we’ll be riding in the Clovis Rodeo Parade.

Come on out and chat with us at one or all of these events!!
