This past Saturday, the Madison Area Family Lions Club rolled up our sleeves and got to work serving our community!

From clearing leaves and debris to refreshing the landscaping, our team worked hard to bring new life to the area—and the results speak for themselves! 👀👇

Fellow Lion and sculptor of our statue on the Memorial Walk-Craigger Browne!

Birmingham native and Craigger Browne came to the bricks as a student-athlete and left with a lifelong calling as a marble sculptor. Through mentorship, creativity and a close-knit campus community, Montevallo helped shape a path he never imagined. 🎨💡

“The instruction at Montevallo is second to none," he said. "They were creative in creating an environment for us to create in.”

Browne earned his BFA from UM in 1991. Now serving as the Sylacauga resident sculptor with works around the world, he credits UM for laying the foundation of a career he loves.

Ron served exceptionally well and helped us become who we are today. His impact will be felt for generations.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear friend and fellow Lion, Ron Seybold. Ron was a dedicated Lion who served his community, district and state with heart and humility, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral arrangements are being finalized, and we will share the details as soon as they are available. Please keep Ron’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
