Even small meals can make a big difference - and these little kits are proof that kindness can fit in a bag.
On the counter are 12 kits. Thatās 9 family dinners and 3 birthday cakes for $100. Absolutely everything needed is included in the bag ā no additional purchases necessary. The ideas, recipes and knowledge shared is from Social Media Influencer Rebecca Chobat.
For The Cloverdale Lions Club 2025 Holiday giving, we will once again re-stock the South Putnam Comfort Closet of toiletries for students in need, but in addition, we will be making several batches of these meal kits to provide to the Clover Cupboard food pantry as well and the SP Comfort Closet.
Food insecurity in our community is real. If you ask people who regularly visits food pantries, you will hear a common theme. There will some of the things you need, but not everything. For example, Hamburger Helper is available, but in order to prepare that you also need hamburger and milk. Patrons will get lots of āpieces of mealsā that require additional purchases, or lots of odd and ends that donāt necessarily come together to form a meal. Thatās where these kits are different.
Every meal kit is made entirely with shelf-stable, boxed, and canned foods. No refrigeration required. Members of our club have made and taste-tested each of the recipes to make sure they are filling, delicious, and easy to make. Each kit includes: a complete meal, and an easy-to-follow recipe card. These kits are a great way to bring a little comfort and security to a family dinner table.
