Thursdaily Devotional: The Power of Gods Love
1 John 4:16
"So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him."
Happy February, and with February comes that one day of the year filled with heart shaped chocolates and Teddy Bears of all sizes. Happy Valentines Day! Love is such a cool thing to experience and see in all walks of life, but the greatest love, that cant be contained by a single day is the love of God. Its easy to know in your head that God loves you, but sometimes it can be difficult to take it any deeper. You can know that God loves you, but not really have that fact change your life. It is when we believe in the love of God, and trust in it that Gods love can begin to change our lives. This belief changes our outlooks and perspectives on life and helps us to realize we don't have to run around feeling sad, trusting in Gods love gives us the strength to take on the many struggles and hardships of our lives, and we can face anything that comes our way with this truth. So, today, this weekend, Valentines Day, and everyday, remember that God loves you, spend time thinking and praying on that truth until you really begin to believe it. When you believe it, that's when the power of God is truly unlocked in your life.
