Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001.

We remember the 2,977 lives lost and honor the first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

We especially remember the 343 firefighters who never made it home. Their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to helping others will never be forgotten.

Today, we proudly celebrate the 80th Anniversary of receiving our IAFF charter, marking 80 years as a proud member of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF).

Our story began in 1888, when the Cloquet Village Council established Cloquet Fire Company No. 1. In 1946, our firefighters took a historic step by joining the International Association of Fire Fighters, becoming IAFF Cloquet Firefighters Local 880.

For the past 80 years, Local 880 has proudly represented the firefighters who answer the call day and night, standing together in brotherhood, sisterhood, advocating for one another, and serving the Cloquet and area community with honor.

As we celebrate this milestone, we remember those who came before us, honor those who serve today, and look forward to the generations who will carry our legacy into the future.
