CHS Community Closet

The CHS Community Closet was able to put together 40+ bags this holiday season and handed them out to students in need. A huge thank you to the Cloquet Eagles for their generous donation of gift cards! Happy Holidays!

We are excited to announce we are back in full force and looking for donations! We have moved (temporarily) into the old weight room. Please see attached information on donations we are looking for. Thank you for your patience and continued suppprt!

WE ARE TAKING DONATIONS AGAIN and are almost ready to open after our year long hiatus during Covid! We prefer that donated items be unused, unopened toiletries, dry storage food, and gently used or new clothing (please keep in mind these are school-age students). Clothing items of interest are girls leggings, tshirts, sweatshirts, boys athletic shorts, athletic pants, tshirts, and sweatshirts and any CLOQUET wearables in sizes S-XXL. Monetary donations are also appreciated. We hope to be open this Wednesday, during certain hours, before students leave for the long Thanksgiving weekend. Students are encouraged to visit the closet if they are in need of anything. We will also be starting to take special requests from students for items they need, that we might not have available, to keep our inventory manageable. Thanks for your continued support!

We are currently NOT TAKING ANY MORE DONATIONS OF CLOTHING until further notice. We are filled to capacity and have no where to store excess belongings.

IF YOU WOULD STILL LIKE TO DONATE, we will take dry storage food items: Ramen, instant Mac & Cheese, cereal, canned meals (Spaghettios, Ravioli, stew, soup), pudding etc. Students seem to always be looking for food. We will also take donations of full size unopened toiletries: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothpaste, deodorant etc.

*** A gracious donation of girls dresses - most sizes (not formal) are available for girls looking for a dress for a Spring concert, Senior Banquet, interview or any dress up event. Check with the high school front office.

Please remember, we do not want to be your dumping zone. Once you donate, everything is gone through and we keep what we feel middle and high school students would need and want. Everything else is donated somewhere else.

Keep in mind we do not need houseware products, infant-child items, opened/half used toiletries, used under-garments or dated, older clothing. Thanks in advance!

Cloquet Snoball is next Saturday, January 18. There are still many gently used formals available in all colors and sizes in the CHS Community Closet. There are also many different color men’s dress shirts available. If you or someone you know is still looking for a dress, come check them out! 👗 💃
