From Shriners International:
"Nobles,
We want to make you aware of recent email phishing attempts that may appear to come from Shrine leadership, trusted organizations, or fellow members. These messages are fraudulent and are designed to trick recipients into sharing information or continuing communication outside normal channels.
Please keep the following in mind:
Be suspicious of any email from Shrine Imperial leadership that does not originate from a SHRINENET.ORG address.
Shrine leadership will never ask for discreet communication, passwords, gift cards, payment information, or sensitive personal details by email.
Be cautious of messages that create a sense of urgency, secrecy, or pressure to act quickly.
Do not engage in email exchanges, click on links, reply, or open attachments unless you are confident the message is legitimate.
Always check the sender’s email address carefully—phishing emails often use addresses that closely resemble real ones but are slightly altered.
Phishing emails may sometimes appear to originate from actual legitimate email addresses. Be cautious or verify by other means that the sender is legitimate.
If you receive a suspicious email claiming to be from Shrine leadership or support, do not respond. Please delete the message and report it through your local temple leadership or appropriate Shriners International support channels.
Your awareness and vigilance help protect not only your own information, but the integrity of our entire membership community. Thank you for helping us keep Shriners safe."
If you may have received an email from Illustrious Sir Phil Gean this morning (3/18/26), that is an example of a phishing email and should be ignored.
