Just a friendly reminder that LIVE MUSIC is happening this Saturday, August 8th, at White Sulphur Springs Ranch!

Last chance for the pre registration discount ends at 9:00pm tonight. As always you can register the morning of between 9:00 and 10:30 at El Toro Bravo in Truckee. Calling All Classic Cars, Hot Rods & Custom Rides!
We're excited to add our first-ever Car Show to the 6th Annual Twisty M Poker Run on Saturday, June 27th at the beautiful White Sulphur Springs Ranch in Clio!
Whether you want to enjoy the full scenic Poker Run through the spectacular Lost Sierra or simply bring your vehicle for the show, we'd love to have you join us!
• Poker Run + Car Show - Start in Truckee (EL Toro Bravo) between 9:00–11:00 AM, or locals can begin at the Cash Store in Sattley at 10:00 AM.
• Registration: $40 per vehicle or $60 for two people, including lunch.
• Car Show Only - Entry is $25, including lunch. Additional lunches are $15 per person. Arrive at White Sulphur Springs Ranch by 11:00 AM.
Compete for our People's Choice Best of Show Award, with the winner receiving a commemorative plaque and a custom-made pocket knife!
Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch, live music, raffle, silent auction, games, guided tours of the historic ranch, and an afternoon surrounded by amazing vehicles and great people.

One of our volunteers just came across this old write up from the Mountain Messenger circa 1867! Very cool! The two images are an actual photocopy from the newspaper which is a bit hard to read and one that we ran through AI to clear up... Below is the text as well.

Farming lands are also to be found in this district of a superior quality. In Mohawk Valley the farmers have within the last year or two made immense strides in improvements. Recently, Mr. McLear purchased the Sulphur Springs Ranch for fourteen thousand dollars in gold. Mr. McLear is a successful merchant of Jamison City. Having lately sold out his store. Instead of rushing away to San Francisco or the East, he has selected this as his home, and has invested his profits where he has made them. All honor to such men for they are rare!
