We heard the incomparable topiary artist Pearl Fryar has gone to his ancestors. CCG founding member had the pleasure of meeting the man himself and getting a tour of his massive topiary installation outside Bishopville. Our thoughts are with his family as we bow our heads to acknowledge the passing of a true horticultural treasure.

Join the Clinton Community Garden for Planting Day on April 11 from 10:00 AM–2:00 PM. The garden is located at 107 S. Bell Street in Clinton.

Enjoy a fun-filled day with games, music, food, and opportunities to learn about healthy living. Free plants will be available, so bring your friends and family. This event is FREE and open to the entire community.

Planting Day is a time to celebrate the unique gifts of our community: working in the garden, sharing good food, enjoying music, and connecting with one another while learning healthy practices.

Everyone is welcome; we would love to see you there. Hosted by the Clinton Community Garden, with support from students at Presbyterian College.

Residents in the Bell Street community were shown the love on Valentine’s Day by receiving hand delivered potted plants courtesy of The Clinton Community Garden and Friendship AME Church.

Planned months ago, volunteers from both organizations worked hard to have all in bloom before deliveries were made. Plants were presented to sick, elderly and shut-in community members🪴.

Great news!
The Clinton Community Garden Project was selected as one of five finalists for the Ten at the Top / Hughes Investments Elevate Upstate Grant. We presented at the Celebrating Successes event on November 19 at the Hyatt Hotel in Greenville. Although we were not a grant recipient we were proud to be chosen a finalist to present our story to over 150 leaders in the ten county Upstate. Check out tenatthetop.com.

This is a meaningful recognition of our work and the partnerships that make it possible. Thank you all for your continued support!

Over 130 community members gathered on a rain -free Nov.4 for our annual Fall Gathering in the Garden and celebrated growing more than vegetables. Over the past year we grew knowledge, joy, pride, health, and lasting relationships.
Thanks to our hard working Board of Directors, volunteers, community members, church, education and healthcare partnerships for pulling off a memorable Gathering 2025!
