Boy Scout Troop 430

Boy Scout Troop 430 Chartered Unit of the Boy Scouts of America, Heart of America Council, Lone Bear District. Located in Clinton, Missouri. Sponsored by Clinton Rotary Club.

Troop 430 is committed to the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Our troop is a boy-led troop that runs on the patrol method which allows the scouts themselves to plan meetings, camp outs and other outings as they see fit. Our roots run deep in Clinton. Our troop has been chartered since 1944 and has been a constant fixture in our hometown of Clinton. Our troop participates in two scouting hono

r programs, the Order of the Arrow and the Tribe of Mic O Say. We attend summer camp at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation located in Osceola/Iconium, Missouri. We also participate in High Adventure activities such as Sea Base and Philmont Scout Ranch every two years. Our troop is very active, going on monthly campouts that vary in meaning. Our ties are strong, our heritage is rich, and our history fuels our future. If you are or have a youth male that is interested in joining our Troop, please contact our Scoutmaster, Matt Willings, at 660-924-1156. Troop 430, Great Scouts, by Nature!

This morning, a group of Troop 430 Scouts and leaders, along with some family members, assisted the VFW with placing flags on the graves of veterans at Englewood Cemetary. This annual tradition for our troop encompasses one of Scoutings foundational ideals, Patriotism.

Troop 430 honors those men and women that made the ultimate sacrifice, while serving in the United States Armed Forces, giving their lives for the very freedoms and liberties we take for granted each and every day. We participate in this annual tradition as a reminder to our scouts that freedom does not come free.
