Newkirk Park Advisory Committee The Newkirk Park Advisory Committee is a group of citizens that serves as an advisory committee to the Clinton Recreation Department for the James L.

Newkirk Memorial Park. This committe was orginally started by the late Councilman James L. Newkirk as a clean up and advisory group to the then Ferrell Street Park. After the death of Councilman Newkirk the park was later renamed in honor of Newkirk. The efforts of this committee continue with functions and events hosted by this committee through out the year.
