This has been a difficult post for me to do and finding the words to say… but Troop 111 lost a legend last week. Ray was the definition of all that Scouting stands for. From the Scout Motto, Slogan, Oath, and Law, Ray taught us all in 111 to live by these standards. Now, did we listen back then.. probably not, but I bet that we all can still recite the Oath and the Law.
I thought I had big shoes to fill 19 years ago this past December when I was past the torch of Scoutmaster from Ray, but now it feels as if those shoes just got a little bigger. Ray, you will be missed and Now I can see Ray and Joe sitting around the fire telling stories, some may be true and some may be a stretch, but nevertheless, stories would be told.

And now as we depart, repeat after me…
May the great scoutmasters of all great scouts……..

What an awesome way to go into our winter break…. a Court of Honor for both Pack 21 and Troop 111. An Eagle Court of Honor for Jacob. Ended the evening with a Christmas party and great fellowship with all. Troop 111 wants to thank Duncan Creek Presbyterian Church for their support in being our Charter Organization and look forward to many more years. Again, congratulations to all the Scouts who earned Merit Badges and a Special Congradulations to Jacob for obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout 🦅. Troop 111 wishes you a very Merry Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year 🎆

This past Saturday Troop 111 was tasked the ceremonial duties of presenting colors at a Veterans Dinner. This was an absolute honor and an experiance these Scouts will not forget and would love to do again if allowed. The Scouts did a fantastic job (seeing as this was the first time for this group) and they got fed too. 😁. After the program, the Scouts had the honor of meeting and talking with SC House of Representatives Luke Rankin and SC Congresswoman Sheri Biggs. See photos below. We would like to give a special Thanks to Karla Evans for giving us this opportunity.
