At Olde Home Day, several people asked about 2019 Clinton ornaments from our past sale. We have 10 left and will bring them to Sunrise Boutique this week so people can find them easier (plus we all know we need an excuse to shop at Sunrise frequently!). The price will be $10 cash to benefit the Item Appeal.

We have Berlin and Bolton ornaments, too. If you want one, we will drop them off, $5 each.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by The Item/Item Appeal table at Olde Home Day. We enjoyed talking to all of you. Congrats to Janice R. who won the year's subscription and Paul C. who won the raffle for volumes 1-5 of Twice Told Tales.

Remember, volumes 5 and 4 on sale at Sunrise Boutique and the Clinton Historical Society's Holder Memorial when they are open. Volume 5 is $20 and we will sell you 4 for only $10 more! We do ask for cash to save on the credit card fees!

Come see The Item/The Item Appeal booth in Central Park for Olde home Day on Saturday, Sept. 12, near the corner of Church and Walnut streets.

We have gift packages of Twice Told Tales (4 & 5 is $30, 3, 4 &5 is $40). And a fun find: We found one copy each of the first two volumes (true collector items), so we are raffling the complete set 1-5, with tickets $2 each! Take a chance and you might have a true collector's item!

The Strand is back in the news. Twice Told Tales 5 includes the story on Terry Ingano's presentation at the Holder on the history of this landmark. Book on sale of $20 cash, at Sunrise Boutique and the Item/The Item Appeal booth at Olde Home Day Saturday, Sept. 12, 9-5. All to benefit the Item Appeal.

Are you excited to pick up your copy of Twice Told Tales 5? We will have them at Olde Home Day for $20 (cash).

Are you missing any post volumes? We will have #4 on sale for $10, so you can get 4 and 5 for $30. AND, special surprise, we found the last few volumes of volume 3; we will sell 3, 4 AND 5 for $40. Plan ahead to have the cash available.

AND even more exciting, we found one volume EACH of volumes 1 and 2, long thought sold out. So we are raffling off a complete set. Buy a $2 raffle for a chance to win a complete set of Twice Told Tales. That is a lot of the fun history of Clinton you would never learn in school.

There is a whole chapter of stories in Twice Told Tales 5 about High Street, from the ongoing discussion on parking meters to landmarks like Sunrise Boutique and The Strand Theatre. Lots of fun history and stories, and some great photos, like this one of a young helper as an officer collects coins from the meters, which the state declared illegal at the time.

Twice Told Tales 5 is available at Sunrise Boutique when they are open ($20 cash so our generous friend Cynthia Cannon is not saddled with the credit card fees!), and The Item/The Item Appeal will be set up in Central Park for Clinton Olde Home Day Sept. 12.

Miss a volume? There will be an opportunity to fill in the holes. A limited number of #3 were found, while #4 will also be for sale. AND there will be an opportunity to win a complete set (yes, we found ONE full set of 1-5 we will be raffling!). More information coming soon.

Time for another teaser to the stories inside Twice Told Tales 5, on sale now to benefit the Item Appeal. Whether you know it as the Foster Mansion or the Council on Aging center, this mansion overlooking Clinton's Central Park has been the subject of stories ... and memories.
