Dear Run Like A Mann Participants,

First and foremost, WE THANK YOU for showing up and running through the rain! It may not have been the picture-perfect race morning we imagined, but you can now officially say, “I ran in a hurricane!” And that makes this year’s Run Like A Mann one for the books!

Despite the weather, we set a record for sign-ups this year! We are incredibly grateful to every participant who joined us, encouraged friends and family to sign up, and helped spread the word about the mission of the Laurens County Cancer Association. We hope to continue growing this event year after year, reaching more people and raising even more support for our neighbors facing cancer.

One of the things that makes the Run Like A Mann so special is that everyone has their own reason for being there. Those who helped start the LCCA were there to continue the memory of a friend, Tim Mann. Some of you ran for yourselves, some for someone you love, some in honor of someone you have lost, and others to celebrate birthdays, friendships, and the joy of being together. Whatever brought you to the starting line, you became part of something bigger this morning. We are so thankful you shared it with us.

And perhaps there was something fitting about weathering the storm together. Every day, our clients face their own storms throughout their cancer journeys. They navigate difficult treatments, long drives to appointments, uncertainty, and challenges that most of us can only imagine. Your willingness to show up, even when conditions weren't ideal, reminds us of the strength, determination, and community that make this event so meaningful.

Your participation helps ensure that no one in Laurens County has to face cancer alone. Every registration, sponsorship, and donation helps the LCCA provide local support to our neighbors when they need it most.

We also hope you took a mental snapshot of the local businesses and organizations who helped make this event possible. They are a tremendous part of our community, and their generosity helps keep our mission moving forward. Please join us in thanking them whenever you have the opportunity!

Also, if you weren't able to make it this morning, you can pick up your bag and shirt during our normal hours of operation: Tuesday-Thursday 10AM-1PM.

Thank you again for being part of our 16th Annual Run Like A Mann 5K. We hope you had a memorable morning, made a few new friends, and left feeling proud of what we accomplished together.

Good morning, Run Like a Mann family!

The 16th Annual Run Like a Mann 5K is still ON!

As we all know, the forecast is calling for rainy skies, but as of right now, we are moving forward as planned! A little rain isn’t going to stop us from showing up for our community!

Our only exception: If the weather turns severe and conditions become unsafe, we will cancel the event. Your safety is our top priority, and we will communicate any changes if needed.

Otherwise, grab your rain jacket, lace up those running shoes, and bring your best rainy-day attitude! We may get a little wet, but we’ll be making a BIG difference for Laurens County residents facing cancer.

Thank you for being part of Run Like A Mann; the inaugural event that helped fund the Laurens County Cancer Association from the VERY FIRST DAY!

The Run Like a Mann 5K Run/Walk is on with a little rain or shine! We're tracking and the morning is looking cool and cloudy. However, in the event of severe weather (lightning), we will reschedule to a later date.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The Run Like a Mann 5k Run and Walk is on Saturday October 11, 2025.
