Removing the Rubbish 🧱✨
What a powerful word spoken yesterday from Nehemiah 4!
We were reminded that commitment matters, especially when the work gets hard. The people rebuilding the wall became tired, discouraged, overwhelmed, and afraid. But instead of giving up, they learned to work together, stay watchful, pray, and keep moving forward.
Sometimes the biggest thing standing between us and what God has called us to do is the “rubbish” we’ve allowed to build up in our lives; fear, fatigue, discouragement, past hurts, unforgiveness, sin, distractions, and anything else that keeps us from moving forward.
💭 When fatigue walks in, faith can walk out.
But when we remember who God is, who we belong to, and what He has called us to do, we can keep going.
We were challenged to:
✨ Inspect our hearts
✨ Remove the rubbish
✨ Work and watch
✨ Stay spiritually alert
✨ Lean on others through accountability and community
✨ Trust God even when the opposition gets stronger
Most importantly, we were reminded that we don’t have to do it alone. Jesus has already paid the price, and He is interceding for us.
“Search me, O God, and know my heart…” — Psalm 139:23
What rubbish do you need to let go of so you can become all God has called you to be?
