Hi, my name is Owen, and I had the pleasure of serving as the SkillsUSA President for the 2025-2026 school year. Being able to lead in this position let me grow more than ever thought I would, but also let me help our members in the chapter. This year gave me so many amazing memories and opportunities. I will forever be grateful to have led our chapter through this school year.

I would say the best part of being a SkillsUSA officer is seeing the team grow to new heights. My favorite was watching new members compete and find things they love to do. By doing this we were able to give so many people a safe space to grow, but also an idea of what they will want to do in the future.

My favorite memory I have was competing in robotics urban search and rescue. Every year presented a new challenge and a new goal to reach. Being able to work with my teammate to complete this challenge was fun, but also fulfilling. Seeing our hard work come to life and compete highly in this competition was amazing. Though it wasn’t just building the robot that was amazing, but working with my teammate. They made the team whole, and ultimately is why we did well every year. Without my teammate I would not have had as much of a good time as I did.

The advice I have for members is just to do things out of your comfort zone. I know everyone says that, but it's because it really helps. When I stepped out of my comfort zone I was able to compete but also lead this chapter that has helped me so much. So if something might seem a little scary, do it, you never know what may happen. Also if they talk behind yo back fart.

Hi, my name is Savannah, and I had the opportunity to serve as the local SkillsUSA chapter Vice President. Being an officer has been such a rewarding experience because it allowed me to grow as a leader while helping support our chapter and members. I’m grateful for the friendships, memories, and opportunities that came from this position, and I’m proud of everything our officer team accomplished together this year.

The best part of being an officer was having the opportunity to help lead our chapter and work alongside such a dedicated officer team. I enjoyed helping plan activities, organizing events, and contributing ideas that could make our chapter stronger and more successful. It was rewarding to see all of the hard work throughout the year come together during competitions, meetings, and chapter events. Being an officer also helped me grow as a leader, improve my communication skills, and become more confident in working with others. Overall, it was an experience that taught me a lot and gave me memories I will always appreciate.

One of my favorite SkillsUSA memories was spending time with everyone during competitions, events, and chapter activities throughout the year. Whether we were preparing for competitions, traveling together, or just laughing during meetings, those moments brought everyone closer together. I’ll always remember the support we showed each other and the fun memories we made as a team because those experiences made this year so memorable.

My advice for members is to get involved and take advantage of every opportunity SkillsUSA gives you. Don’t be afraid to meet new people, step outside of your comfort zone, or try leadership roles because those experiences can help you grow so much. Even if something seems intimidating at first, the memories, friendships, and lessons you gain are worth it. Most importantly, support the people around you and make others feel included, because that’s what truly makes a chapter strong.

Hey everyone! This is Haley Wilham, signing out of 2025-2026 active Secretary. Being an officer has truly given me so many new experiences and ways to get out into my community. From fundraising, conferences, to community I have had the honor of being an active part. Being secretary, I have had the opportunity to observe meetings. It requires an apt amount of attention, and as secretary you take notes on just about everything. That allowed me to make sure any missing information was figured and kept gaps from appearing in schedules.

My favorite memory of SkillsUSA has to be attending conferences. You get shoved out of your comfort zone and that is where the most growth comes from. From LEAD, SLSC, NLSC, and AMPLFY every single one has pushed me to grow as both a leader and person. Without that extra social experience I would not be where I am today, and I will forever be grateful.

My advice for any new, returning, or interested members is this: don’t hesitate to reach out to an officer about anything. Be curious, ask questions, and they will be more than happy to fill you in on anything you may want to know. As officers, it is our responsibility to help members as much as we could. Get involved, have fun, and stay curious!

Working as a group, brainstorming, and collaborating with my officer team and Mr. Knap has given me an infinite amount of opportunities to grow into a better person and a better leader. So, truly, thank you Clinton SkillsUSA!!

Hello! I'm Sophie Thrasher and I had the great experience of serving as your CHS SkillsUSA 25-26 Reporter. The Reporter's role might just seem like dealing with social media, but it is much more. The Reporter catches memories and tells the story behind every one. I got to share our chapter's achievements with our community and I couldn't be more proud of our members. While this is one of the best parts of being an officer, my favorite has to go to being able to connect and communicate with my fellow officers to be able to set our chapter up for success.

SkillsUSA has given me so many memories that I will carry forever. From going to many conferences to helping plan chapter events, there are so many memories that stick out to me. One recent memory happened after I was elected to serve as a State Officer. After figuring out I was elected, I received so much support and congratulations from Clinton. The amount of text messages, hugs, and tears shed was amazing. It reminded me just how much love and teamwork is inside our chapter, and that I will always have a place I can call home.

With that, my advice for members would be to reach out. Connect with as many people as you can and go outside your comfort zone to do things you normally wouldn't. Take advantage of every opportunity SkillsUSA gives you and make memories with the people around you. A support system and family will always be there for you as long you let them in and learn to thrive together.

I have loved working with this officer team and our advisor, Mr. Knap, this year. This role has taught me so much and I am so happy that I was given the opportunity to be an officer. Thank you Clinton SkillsUSA!

Hello, I’m Patrick Morge, and I’ve had the honor of serving as your CHS SkillsUSA 25–26 Parliamentarian. This role has allowed me to help keep our meetings organized and productive, while also making sure every member’s voice could be heard. I’ve really enjoyed being able to support our chapter behind the scenes and help everything run smoothly.

One of my favorite parts of this year has been getting involved with the junior high and helping introduce younger students to SkillsUSA. Being able to work with them and see their excitement reminded me of why I joined in the first place. It’s rewarding to know we’re helping build the next generation of leaders in our chapter.

SkillsUSA has given me opportunities to grow as a leader and as a person. Whether it was working with our officer team, helping at events, or representing our chapter, each experience has helped me build confidence, communication skills, and stronger connections with others.

My advice to members would be to get involved and not be afraid to step up. You don’t have to start big—just showing up and participating can lead to opportunities you never expected. SkillsUSA is what you make of it, so take advantage of everything it has to offer.

I’ve truly enjoyed working with this officer team and our advisor, Mr. Knap, this year. I’m grateful for the chance to serve and be a part of such an amazing chapter. Thank you, Clinton SkillsUSA!
