Monday, the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton kicked off Jumpstart at Clinton Park Elementary! 🎉

This special initiative is designed to help our incoming kindergartners build confidence, make new friends, and get ready for a successful start to their school journey. Through engaging activities and lots of encouragement, we're helping our youngest learners take their first steps toward a bright future. 🌟

The color of the day was GREEN 💚…a color that represents growth and new beginnings, which makes it the perfect way to start our Jumpstart adventure!

We can't wait to learn, laugh, and grow together over the next few days. Here's to an amazing start for our future Arrows!

Today, we are honored to recognize Ruth Cummins, whose dedication to Junior Auxiliary has spanned nearly three decades and continues to make an impact at both the chapter and national levels.

Ruth joined Junior Auxiliary of Clinton as a provisional member in 1997 and became an active member in early 1998. During her active years, she served as Sponsorship Chair for three years and also contributed her talents in Public Relations. While she completed her active chapter service in 2003, her commitment to JA Clinton never ended.

As an Associate Member, Ruth remained a driving force behind the chapter’s sponsorship and fundraising efforts. Many members fondly remember Ruth and fellow Associate Sue Hunt teaming up for their legendary “Girls Day Out” excursions, securing silent auction donations and supporting fundraising events year after year. Together, they were truly a force!

Ruth became a Life Member in 2012 and continues to faithfully support JA Clinton today, rallying Associate and Life Members for special projects, including providing supplies for the chapter’s JA Jumpstart initiative.

Her service extends far beyond the local chapter. At the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries, Ruth has served as a Chapter Support Coordinator for seven years, spent four years on the NAJA Foundation Board—including serving as Foundation Chair—and most recently contributed her talents on the Marketing & Technology Committee. She was also recently named Editor of NAJA’s Crownlet publication, helping share the spirit and mission of Junior Auxiliary with members across the organization.

In 2003, Ruth was honored with one of NAJA’s highest recognitions, the Betty Robbins Volunteer of the Year Award, a testament to her exceptional service and volunteer leadership.

Ruth is married to Kelly and is the proud mother of two grown daughters, Meg and Leigh.

Thank you, Ruth, for your unwavering commitment, servant leadership, and passion for Junior Auxiliary. Your dedication has touched countless lives and continues to inspire members throughout JA Clinton and beyond. 💙

Junior Auxiliary of Clinton proudly wrapped up another incredible IMPACT service year with our final meeting of the academic year at Methodist Children's Homes of Mississippi (MCH).

This special evening was dedicated to celebrating the hard work, perseverance, and accomplishments of the students as they successfully completed another school year. We were especially honored to recognize one outstanding graduating senior with a scholarship and electronic gifts to support her transition into college and the exciting journey ahead.

The celebration was filled with laughter, games, snacks, prizes, and lots of encouragement. Thanks to generous donations from Amazon and members of the Junior Auxiliary of Clinton, students had the opportunity to win a variety of fun prizes as we celebrated their achievements together.

Watching these young people grow, overcome challenges, and continue striving toward their goals has been truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of each student and grateful for the opportunity to invest in their futures throughout the year.

As summer begins, we wish all of our MCH students a safe, fun, and well-deserved break.
